We use whole herbs whenever possible. So if it’s cardamom, for example, we start with the whole pod, grind it upon order, and then artfully blend it into your tea. Your tea is not blended until you order it, to ensure maximum potency and freshness. After blending, it is carefully added to a custom-made, recyclable, plastic-free container to safely house your blend.

Never any “Proprietary Blends”, “Natural Flavors”,

or anything artificial! 

As an avid label reader, I never understood it when even a “healthy” food did not disclose every ingredient. I thought, “What are they hiding?” 

It is important to us, when formulating our tea blends, to find the perfect balance of ingredients that not only taste good, but are also good for us. If we can grow it, we grow it. If we can find it organic and local, we support it. All other resources must pass our quality standards of organic (or wildcrafted), freshly packed, and potent. We use the highest quality we can find even if it costs us a little more (or a lot more.) We vow never to use “proprietary blends” or even “natural flavors”, as those can be misleading and deceiving. Our herbs are the flavor! And if you know us by now, we never use anything artificial. At Jama Roots, we list every ingredient because we’re proud of them!
